Quickly as I could I ran to the door
Heart pounding deep in my chest like a drum
I felt my body shaking to the core
My mind went blank and everything was numb
Threw open the gate to find a surprise
I felt the tears ready to pour on out
Behind his eyes I could feel all the lies
My stomach felt so sick, queasy with doubt
It was over he remarked with a frown
The good times were up, the end was in sight
I felt inside like I had been cut down
I could feel my throat closing up, so tight
You said you loved me, you said you were sure
I was once rich in love, but now I’m poor

- This is not an easy rhyming pattern to keep up, nor the rhythm. You did very well with it... Good job! =)

- Very impressed that you right a sonnet. Not an easy task. Iambic pentameter and the rhyming couplet at the end and all that jazz. Impressed.
