Ever so silent
Snow creeps-creeps-crawls
Down the silent airways
Of the winter sky.
Doing a dance of miracles
Snowflakes snow, flake,
Blend into the silent background
Of another season's passing.
Bidding adieu to summer, fall,
Reaching towards spring with a desperate grasp
Freezing, choking, waiting
To be thawed and bathed in warm sunlight.
Earth's little blanket, winter sleeps
Slumbers
Creeps
Blunders
All about mother Earth
Her little veil
In celebration
Of solstice,
Her wedding day
To father time.

Description:
Well, I just really love writing, and it came to me so easily. I was ready and raring to go, picking up my writing notebook and readying myself to input one of my poems from class. But I didn't. Instead, I sat here and, in less than five minutes, wrote everything down that came to mind. I rather like it. It's just a simple poem, using the same-old-same-old idea as everyone else. Heh. I just hope that you like it.
It's unoriginal, but it's mine. :] - Date: 12/12/2008
