I trudge
Through snow
And biting ice
Through tree’s
At dusk
When shadows
Fight
My hands are
Cold
And face so
Numb
But heart
Alive
With a
Thump
Thump
Thump
And I see a
Light
So very
Bright
In this hushed
Silent
Night
A cabin stood
And a door
I knocked
Answered by
An
Angelic sight
With family gathered
Around a tree
With lights and spheres
An angel topped
Green
A fire roared
And warmed
My bones
My heart aflame
And now
I’m home
