Christmas soldier
The snow falls with elegant grace
And lands upon the cold windowsill
The holiday lights are already hung upon the houses
And the smiling faces of children with parents sitting around the tree
How I wished that I was them
To be smiling with a loved one, while sitting by the Christmas tree.
But I sit her all alone with a lone gift in my hand
Not daring to put it down
Not daring to lose you again
To some war that took you a away on my Christmas day a year ago
So I clutch it to my heart, to keep you there for ever
Wishing that I could only get one more Christmas present
Then suddenly a knock at the door
Was it a wish come true?
For you stood there and came back to me
My Christmas soldier

But I sit *here* all alone with a lone gift in my hand
Other than that, love it. 5/5 - Report As Spam
