• Chilling air,
    it's winter again.
    And yet no snow,
    to create snowmen.

    I need a heater inside,
    but outside nothing to melt.
    No Igloos, no angels,
    no snowballs to pelt.

    Yet down my street,
    Christmas lights galore.
    But without any snow,
    I wonder what for?

    It hasn't snowed,
    since 1977.
    But that doesn't count,
it was wet, good lord in heaven!

I may seem like a grinch,
but I'm spoiled you can say.
    For Winter in New York,
    provided snow always.

    So roaming around,
    I have to wonder.
    Why Florida even bothers,
since all they get is thunder.

    I couldn't see it,
until it hit me one day.
When I saw a mouse passing,
    in a red Chevrolet.

    Yes it was Mickey,
just some man in a disguise.
But it was actually the crowding children,
    who opened my eyes.

    They were full of hope,
    and imagination.
    So that's how I realized,
    children held Christmas' foundation.

So fake snow in a mall,
    isn't so bad I guess.
    It may not be real,
but I wont settle for less.

    So bring on the cold,
    I know I'll survive,
    Since I now understand why,
Christmas in Florida is still alive.
