When saw this cosplay, I thought, "wow, that looks just like Sailor Mercury. The hair's a little off shade and long in the back, but it's better than most real-life cosplays I've seen." The bubble effect really dazzled me.
So I have to ask... wha?
There are only so many items in the game, and none of them made to look exactly like a specific character's attire. In fact, they're intentionally generic, so as not to infringe on copyright and to be more versatile. (Cont.)

Part of the fun of making a Gaia cosplay, I'd say, is finding an item that looks right. There's no exact 'proper' choice, so there's a lot of creativity and interpretation in finding the right parts. It's a lot like the childish glee of running through a thrift store the night before an anime convention to complete your ten dollar cosplay. (Cont.)

"So," I thought, clicking on your profile, "she must be a HUGE fan to nit-pick such fine details."
I must confess, my first reaction to your profile page was hysterical laughter. The music playing floored me; the sound of one of those late 90s 'woof' bands, where all they did was scream guttural sounds into a mic and called it art. (Cont.)

You definitely seem to be an aficionado of anime, granted most of the manga covers on your page are mostly newer stuff, save Inu Yasha (kind of older... sort of), Ranma (<3 Ranma), and Inu Baka (I believe that one was a hentai manga about bestiality, but my search on Box Torrents found nothing, so I could be mistaken). "Strange," I thought, "these are all new animes for a huge fan to perfer. Where's the Azu Dai? The Eva? Cowboy Bebob, etc."
And then I noticed your age, and was whisked away on a whimsical trip to when I was just about to turn sixteen. Crappy bands got rich screaming 'woof'ing sounds; I discovered internet pornography, and Toonami was re-running the dub of Sailor Moon again while the collective fan base was wondering when they'd get to Sailor Moon S. A good year, all told. (Cont.)

It's odd to know you were learning to read when I was watching SM,
So I must apologize, since it's been many years since I've seen much SM, and perhaps my memory has faltered in my advanced years, but how is this not an uncanny likeness?
Thank you for bringing me on this nostalgic trip through times past, when the internet was still a wild, untamed frontier, and our only access to anime was through copying 5th-generation VHS tapes among friends. But my question still remains; ....wha?
