  • Title: Lady Justice
  • Artist: logans beta
  • Description: She is the symbol that we see everywhere.
    ~
for the Ancient Greeks, she was called Themis, for the Ancient Romans, she was Justitia.
but for everyone now, she is just simply Lady Justice.
    ~
Statues of her adorn many places of government, like courts & state houses, & even some public libraries.
    ~
the scales that she has, come from The Book of the Dead. The blindfold: self-explanatory, The blade: symbol of the punishment that will happen if found guilty.

  • :O I did not know the Scales were meant to be those from the Book of the Dead, how interesting!
    This is really fantastic. ^o^
Also, I'm a fan of your antennae-haired son Apollo-- wait, never mind. <<''

  • the reason that She wears a blindfold, is not to (turn a blind eye) towards justice, but it's a symbol, that means that she has to be impartial towards the accused. (even tho' the justice system doesn't abide by it all the time)
