- Title: Era of Punk - Mohawks & Boots
- Artist: I Catherine I
-
Description:
A trend, a clique, and a lifestyle. Punk represents more than just a genre of music in some folk's lives.
The music can simply be described as a stripped down, no bullshit form of rock 'n' roll. With bands like the 'Sex Pistols,' 'Ramones,' and 'The Clash.'
In today's world, punk is still very much alive amidst sub genres.

@Whitestring: Before punk, music was very perfectionist? You're gonna say that disco was perfectionist?
Music has ALWAYS been superfluous, no matter the era. There's always been someone who disagrees with a certain genre, a style, a "sound." But that doesn't mean it was s**t. It defined a generation that was about more than the music, which is something sadly lacking in today's popular music.
Keep that in mind. - Report As Spam

Lol, I hate to say it, but, punk became popular because it was s**t.
See, before punk, music was very perfectionist as it still is in some circles.
Very mathematical. You'd have to be very educated to be a musician.
Suddenly punk pops out. It's s**t. It's easy to play. It's awful.
But it's NEW.
That's why punk became popular. - Report As Spam
