Description:
Shortly after the disappearance of Tidus's father, Auron became something of a mentor for Tidus, watching over him from afar. In FFX's present day, he – along with Tidus – become Yuna's guardians, as he was to her father. It is eventually revealed during the game that Auron attacked Yunalesca in a fit of rage after she revealed that Braska and Jecht needlessly gave their lives against Sin, and that she struck him down with a mortal wound that soon led to his death.

Auron is just so awesome!
But you shouldn't put that Yunalesca kills him. That's a HUGE spoiler. My friend just started playing that game, and she doesn't know about Auron's death.
