Spinal is a character from the classic and epic Killer Instinct arcade game (also released on SNES). Spinal is Ultratech's slave as a result of cell-regeneration experiments.
He charges energy to perform certain special moves, which can be seen as flaming skulls circling him (illustrated in purple). Spinal is famous as one of the easiest characters to perform a 99 hit combo through a bug allowing him to fire an infinite barrage of skulls.
