In FFX's present day, he – along with Tidus – become Yuna's guardians, as he was to her father. It is eventually revealed during the game that Auron attacked Yunalesca in a fit of rage after she revealed that Braska and Jecht needlessly gave their lives against Sin, and that she struck him down with a mortal wound that soon led to his death.

- ahem if you play FFX you will see is robe is more maroon than red, besides the only other coat i can use is the wild west duster and it doesn't flow like this one, also his neck warmer is supposed to be grey but this is the only one that poses right, and i know he is only supposed to have one shoulder pad but there are none that look, or pose right.
