Trisha Elric was the loving mother of Edward and Alphonse Elric, also the wife of Van Hohenheim/ Hohenheim Elric. When she died after her husband left, her sons tried to bring her back to life by using Human Transmutation. Sadly, things went horribly wrong. As a result, Ed lost his right arm and his left leg while Al lost his whole body.
