- Title: Mixed Link
- Artist: smashbrolink
-
Description:
This particular cosplay of the Hero of Hyrule is a mix of various different incarnations.
Brown hair from the first few, Navi from OoT, a quiver for a bit of effect, and a sword&shield combination that feels like it could have come right out of Link's appearance in Soul Calibur 2.
Life and Magic bar completes the set.
Now if only I had a better-looking tunic to go with the hat... - Date: 03/19/2014

- Astra: Please don't encourage people NOT to use references, whilst not a 'rule' per say a reference is considered proper etiquette on a cosplay entry.

And the reason that we've mentioned this would go in the other arena is because this is not Link. It is no known Link. If I were to google search Link, none of them would really look like this guy. Combining different versions of a character does not make it the original design anymore. So the original arena is a fine place for this at the time.
However, I would love to see this resubmitted with a ref image, and using only one design scheme for Link. - Report As Spam

@Queen. Yes a reference image is optional, however many do not vote or 1/5 entries who do not provide a ref image. It also shows that the entry is serious, and it's just courteous.

- Thanks to both of you, Queen and Barbara. I'm still trying out different swords and shields, and I do have a Pora Ice I could use, so the experimentation goes on.

- Also because the creator of the cosplay is not the creator of Link nor Legend of Zelda he should not put it in original. Original is for original works of art, for original characters. To tell someone to stick an original idea for a cosplay in a venue meant for original ideas is copyright infringment. Stop encouraging copyright infringment.
