- The story is very touching and the avatar does have a lovely balance of color with symbolism for war. I'm glad to see this entry placed in the running even if it was third. Good job.

- I love your color patterns and balance. The description is poetically written with a touch of a fairy tale theme and a touch of realism. It speaks not only on behalf of lesbians, but on behalf on women and our strength to overcome challenges. Lately with things like Proposition 8 (Calfornia) and Question 1 (Maine) it's been a depressing place for the gay community. I'm glad to see, online at least, there is support of love, regardless of gender.

Did this win just because it's two girls? I've got nothing against that, but it just seems like people are commenting much more on that fact then on the avi itself.
The avi itself, nothing but the colors, balance, and overall look, just isn't that great. It's a nice story, but this isn't the writing arena, its the Avatar arena, and people's avis should be winning, not their descriptions.
