Description:
#2 in my "America's History in Photographs" Series.
Victorian Silhouette 1860
1860 was the beginning of the Victorian era. Dresses with bustles began at this time. To get the full effect in the back, a cage was often used. By 1867 the style became softer, and no longer needed the cage to create a bustle.
Lace gloves, fans, and hats or bonnets were worn.
My avatar was not made to be exactly as the reference photo. The reference is just an example.
