Items in D&D can be trapped. A simple little sack of cloth with some extra storage space? No one ever thinks to check THAT for traps.
"Dude! The dragon has a chest full of loot! Mike, get out that Bag of Holding you found earlier. We can stash the stuff in it!"
"Okay. I'm gonna do that."
"You open the Bag of Holding. It explodes in your face, stunning you. The Bag of Holding catches fire and quickly turns to ash. Mike, you take twenty points of damage and are knocked unconscious."

- I'll tell my brother. He'll totally piss everyone off when he DMs..... Once, one of our characters (a halfling rogue who is very good at rolling 20s!) hid inside a bag of holding and we used it to surprise a boss and the fight was way easier. Anyway... Awesome avatar! Grats on the win!
