After a long ferocious fight
She was bound and taken captive
thrown in a galley out of sight
she sat with silent pride
hands clasped upon her lap
her face belied the fear inside,
for she knew where lay the map
She heard their voices raised in song
Drunken shouts and raucous fight
The commotion went on all night long
no sleep she got that night
At dawn she heard a jarring clank
Men dragged her out the door
She knew t'was time to walk the plank
