Being beautiful is normally more of a curse than a blessing. This was proven when Aphrodite grew jealous and decided to punish her for it. She sent her son Eros, the god of desire to force Psyche into falling in love with the most grotesque creature possible. Though upon seeing her, Eros fell in love.
