The battlefield echoed with the noise. Not of blades clashing, or men dying, it echoed with laugher. A high-pitched, maniacal laughter. It came from one man, who walked slowly through the oncoming army. Then, when he came to the place the armies met, he drew a curved sword, and ran at the opposing side. He twisted and weaved, trailing a spray of blood like a dancer’s ribbon. All the while, he laughed, and laughed.
Thus was the harlequin’s war. Thus was the bloody spectacle.

I'm pretty sure you're already pissed about that R missing from warlord, so I'm not gonna rag on you for it.
This is actually excellent. Cohesive, color matched, thematically related, simple enough to not look cluttered and complex enough to not look boring.
I'm not a big fan of epic descriptions but I won't take away points for writing your little dime a dozen fantasy novel fanfic. - Report As Spam
