The moon prancing 'cross the sky
A thin cackle echo 'cross the fields
Icing trees, creating freeze
'Who?' the children ask
'What?'
The Snow Queen, no doubt
Doing her first December's task
Sweet seductress
Grand deceiver
Impossibly hard to leave her
Crystal cloth adorns her
Riches of all surround her
Delicate as the moth who mourns her
Yet no time to rest
For it is her will
to make the kill
