Contempt is a negative thing. It means hatred. I
say this because you obviously thought this word
meant something else, e.g. "God's angel's all
lived in harmony, equality and contempt" and "the
happiness and contempt dissipated, replaced with
hate and desire". The first one is forgiveable,
because it could be seen as juxtaposition,
contrasting contentment and discontentment, but
the second one simply makes no sense because the
