Forever;
Forever is a long time to wait,
A long time to bleed,
A long time to love,
And a long time to need.
I wait forever,
Through the mists of time
For a love that might save me
From the haunted night.
When I wake, some early morn,
I think that today
Ill be torn.
The sun is my enemy,
The moon is my friend,
As the fog rolls in again,
I have to wonder,
Is this what I wanted?
My beauty, my youth, all that will last
Because that immortal kiss; the blast from the past.
When I think of that day, that horrid day,
Blood covered snow, and burning mistletoe,
Everything stands still, as time slowly grays,
I will remember, all those lonesome days.
Time is no fret for me,
I never age, I never wilt, I am the rose that never dies.
But in this plastic reality that I live, I have to question
My will to live.
To live in this life,
This plastic and fake immortality,
Is this what I wanted?
Is this what I need?
When I look back, to those days in the sun,
When everything had feeling, colors and fun.
I have to remind myself, every night before I sleep,
To dream in color, so my eyes do not weep.
Ive picked my blood stained poison well...

- Title: Immortality for a Vampire Poem
- Artist: RiverDaNile
-
Description:
This is a poem I did for a story I finished a while ago. Obviously its a vampire story.
The whole thing with the christmas stuff deals with her transformation with her twin sister, and the fact that they both almost died and their father ended up dying.
Yea, kinda sad. But its all good.
