There is a simple kind of elegance
In well-performed decadence
That never goes out of style
And overthrows all common sense
Drink and smoke and debauchery galore
The smallest taste will open the door
One step in and you're ours for sure
All who come to see us leave wishing they had more
Life and death, love and hate
Are all to be left at the gate
The outside world's no concern of ours
A sickly-sweet addiction for which you mustn't be late
The hushed whispers of flesh and lace
The grinning mask of an enchanting face
A husky voice and sensual sins
A gold-gilded way to enter disgrace
Beauty in corseted dedication
Deliverance in silken threads of seduction
Be glad of the decline of dull morality
The strongest can resist all but temptation
Aphrodite by light night, woman by dark day
Beguiling all of man's troubles away
We are the mistresses of the after hours
Come, behold the cabaret!
