Throughout the course of time
We all stood up for the very test
The one where our life of maturity withstood
To form an enlightened human being
Our primitive form of being
Molds the very future of our breeding
Generation to Generation
Our species has attempted to look up
For the head-strong-downed crew
Often their weight has poured on our beliefs
So every so often our pitches are stricken from record
But overall, our heads are now higher
Realizing our vulnerability
Has allowed us to travel farther and lighter
So once again throughout the test of time
Our heads have raised more and more
From staring at asphault
To spacing out in the sky
Yes, my head is in the clouds
Just where we all belong

- Description: Yea, I've seen some of the entries here and all of them are so depressing and revolve around how sad they are and why, I mean why not learn from that teach people through lyrical writing? I mean I understand we write like that to vent and let out some icky emotions, but why share it with the world? Do you want them to pity you? Or feel as sad as you do? I don't know I'm just rambling here anway, this poem encourages growth, that's pretty much it. *mumble mumble*

- Good thought process. For me the poem is admirable but it doesn't speak to me. I love the last two lines though.
