• Seeing an Angel

Deep inside his heart aches with despair,
Fabrications of joy shall be his repair.

Thinking no one can mend his broken heart,
Since he thought he had no one from the very start.

But what happened when his life became the main source of the pain,
What happened when his thoughts made him think him not sane?

He closes his heart off from the world,
From the people he loves, even his one special girl.

His daughter must have seen all his tears that he shed,
Heard ever cry that he made late at night after he sent her to bed.

Because when he went to tell her sleep tight,
He heard her prayer for her daddy that night.

"Please pretty angles listen to me,
I have a wish but I'm only thirteen."

"My daddy is sad and he cries all night,
I see him on the couch, I almost cry at the sight."

"I know he tries to be strong,
And he says 'nothing' when I ask him what's wrong."

"I once asked where my mom was,
And he just cried like he always does."

"You see I found out that my mommy died,
She was in the crash on the plane that she flied."

"She died that day in the fire but still,
I know she is here and gives me the will."

"She gives me the will to keep fighting,
But please pretty angels give him the will and keep guiding."

"Keep guiding him to the place you showed me,
The place where my mommy can and my daddy can be."

"The place in my dreams where we where together,
Where she lifted me like I was light as a feather."

"Please help him angels give him her will,
Give it to him because my mom has plenty still."

She said her good night to the angels above,
As she fell asleep in her window flew a dove.

The dove, white as snow, flew to the man,
And landed on his shoulder while dropping a note in his hand.

The dove flew away as he opened the note,
And as he read he knew this was something his wife wrote.

It told him to be strong and take care of their girl,
That she would see them soon when they joined her in a better world.

A world of peace where they could live,
Happy and free without a care to give.

He held the note close to his heart,
And it felt as though they where no longer apart.

She may be gone but he knew it now,
His daughter had seen her mother some way some how.

Ok if this poem made you cry i am truly sorry, but this is true story/poem. My friend Alex's mom was in one of those planes and died that day.
