• The morning sun had begun to rise,
My heart was filled with cautious surprise,
When she looked into my eyes
And told me of love, and charming lies.

She was the Heart of number One,
Sharp as pins and daggers tongue,
Looks that kill like a killer's gun,
My heart bled for her, our dance had begun.

Sadly middle school comes and goes,
Brings us lessons, brings us woes,
Thrice years, she was gone, had reaped my heart,
Then H.S. began and I'm back at start.

Now we move to the Heart of Two,
A christian girl with morals true,
Sweeter than sugar, eyes amber and blue,
We tried to date, but her time was few.

I loved her mind, her whitt, her coy,
But her love belonged to another boy,
She left forever with a piece of my heart
And I threw myself back at the start.

I found a job, met Heart of Three.
Troubled by ghosts, yet filled with glee.
I helped her with her haunted plea,
Then for awhile she dated me.

Our time was short and pretty bad,
And her attitude was pretty sad.
I let her dump me and took back my heart
And gladly came back to the start.

Heart of Four was the second best,
Had some nice lungs in her chest,
I could name things i liked about her w/out rest,
Though her PDA i did detest.

Thrice we went out, thrice we broke.
We're friends now. The love seemed as a joke.
I felt dead when she cut my heart,
And crawled on belly back to the start.

But souls are out there for everybody,
And Five of Hearts was there for me.
Unconditionally wonderful and in my eyes so lovely,
She makes me whole and so very happy.

When life got rough, she came to wait
As I picked up my pieces and sewed back my fate.
Then hearts rebound with love we'd create,
And we're together now, far away from hate.

The moral: there's plenty of fish in the sea.
Someone right for everyone, you and me.
Though tested by time, scarred, I still have heart,
And no longer know meaning to "back at start."
