A Dragon's Love
Let me tell you a tale
It happened long ago
In the land of the weirdies
Where it never snows.
There once lived a dragon
Dark as night were its scales
And a faerie so lovely
All else in life pales.
The dragon, it slaughtered
The faeries whole village
It burned and it razed
And its plunder it pillaged.
But the faerie, she lived
And to this day still breathes
For the dragon you see
Felt his dark heart heave.
When he saw the fair maiden
Lying still on the ground
With her face wet with tears
Not a hint of a sound.
He took the still faerie
And back to his lair
To keep her forever
His maiden so fair.

- Nice poem, nasty old dragon... at least he spared one! You have an it's and its mixup going in the second and third stanza though. Otherwise, it comes to a nice conclusion.
