• One night I was bit
    I couldn’t hide from it
    I didn’t hear the growl
But now I hear a distant howl
    I heard the wolves call
    It was late fall
    The air smelt musky sweet
And the slight breeze was a treat
    I didn’t hear it coming
Silent as a shadow while running
    Then it crashed into me
    Knocked me on bended knee
    Fangs deep in my shoulder
    I couldn’t hold her
I fell with it on top of me
Then it ran off before I could see
That her eyes turned from amber to green
And somewhere before I have seen
    Such beautiful eyes
She let me live where most dies
    On the next full moon
    Around noon
    I noticed the change
    That stuff was getting strange
    Then night hit
And a new spark was lit
    My blood burned
    And stomach churned
    Then a long painful howl
Came out of my throat now
I ran through the woods at break neck speed
Urged on by the need to feed
After awhile the need for a pack was strong
    Something just felt wrong
    Then I noticed a scent
Something on this girl that was pent
She smelt of leaves and fur
    It was her
The one with the green eyes
Now I know why I lived where everyone else dies
