    Having all of the world's sorrow go to the grave
    I wish I could wipe away every tear.

    I wish that I could ease anger
    I wish that I could stand in the place of the child that gets beaten
    If not by fists then by words
    I wish I could save them all

    I wish that people could realize how much I love them
    I wish that they could see past all the pain in my eyes
    To see that I would do anything for them
    I wish that they could see that I didn't want them to suffer

    I wish I could take everything bad away
    I wish that I could snatch everything bad away from the loves that I have
    So that they would no longer have to shed a tear
    I wish that they would only cry in happiness.

    I wish I could tell everyone how I see the world
    I wish people would see how simple it is
    Then the demons and Satan would be lost forever
    I wish that I could give people the joy of God

    I wish that I could prove to people one thing
    I wish that I could prove that God is really good
    That there is a way that could make joy in sorrow
    I wish I could ease the hearts of what pain they had.

    I wish that people could see God for God
    I wish they could see that he is love
    Maybe someday when I live no longer
    I wish that I could bring light to a dark world
