The Wolf’s Howl
The wolves howl
and the wind roars
The wings of an owl
as it soars.
The calm quiet night
under the moonlight.
Never sullen
until fallen.
The wolves howl
and the wind roars.
The wings of an owl
as it soars.
The sky weeps
as the dead sleeps.
A silent breeze
stirs the trees.
The wolves howl
and the wind roars.
The wings of an owl
as it soars.
There is pain
on the mortal plain.
The wind weeps
as Death reaps.
The wolves howl
and the wind roars.
The wings of an owl
as it soars.
Soon the moon sets
not in the west.
The moon is gone
in the breaking dawn.
The wolves howl
and the wind roars.
The wings of an owl
as it soars.
