Only time will tell what becomes of today...
Who's to say we decide ones fate?
The decisions we make, the chances we take
All of the angels have gone away,
Driven away by the thing we call hate.
All our moral standards we can't seem to keep,
Hidden inside us, soundly asleep.
The things we understand disappear soon,
Drown out by the river's whispered tune.
And all we can see with our dull, blinded eyes
Are empty qualities we toss aside.
Who are we to control anyone but ourselves?
All of the choices we've come to...
All of the voiceless souls we've ended
Will forever hold your heartless being.
And I'll keep waiting for things to change
I'll keep wishing at night to end this pain.
My hope may die when I stops dreaming
But memory is all I ask for, my soul forever lasting

- Description: This is a poem about my hopes in the world becoming a better place. When everyone can see significance in something other than themselves. I did this poem in about 8 or 9 minutes, sorry if it's not perfect.
