Through clouded eyes I watch the hours tick away
Rain falling gently against the window
A single tear finds its way onto my cheek
How could I ever make myself hopeful
Thinking that you would never leave me?
You were beautiful, the angel sent just for me
But now you have been taken from me
Swiflty, siltently in the darkness of night
Please don't leave me here in this world
With nothing to hold, nothing to love
Only this empty void in my heart
Come back to me my little darling
So that I may dry my eyes in your fur
Allow me my only days of happiness
Where your gentle mew may allow me to smile
Let my home be filled once more with warmth

- Title: Gone But Not Forgotten
- Artist: Regina Malorum
- Description: I wrote this poem about my two year old cat who passed away December 4th of this year. He was very close to me and though I didn't know he had died until I got home from school, I knew he was at the vet and the chances were pretty high.
