He was a man, a boy with something to say
But everywhere he turned, he was turned away.
He tried to speak out, to shout but he was forever beat down.
His passion, his flame, man, it was simply put out.
His voice was never heard, yeah, always drowned out
And it wasn't about how many tries he tried to take it
The social atrocities had him by the throat, and threatened to break it.
A stake through the heart and a gag in his mouth.
He was simply silenced and completely put down.
He had no where to go when the mob came runnin'
And he had no where to run when the cops came stunnin'.
Yeah, it was about the time the fun ran out
And yeah all he wanted to do was shout .
Look at yourselves now, good and hard.
How do you justify all the harm?
All the people you squashed with your toes;
The voices you stole right from under their nose.
The ideas that could have flourished and bloomed.
Yeah, now they're all entombed,
Embodied and cocooned in lies and doubt
And now it's no good to just shout out.
'Cause you wont listen no matter the volume of my voice;
The elevated frequency I heighten by choice.
The noise defines more than you could possibly know
Because if you listen you could hear the applause from the show.
Even the lowest of the low know the first act has folded
Crumpled and crippled, morphed, and at last molded
Into something you creatures wanted to see
Not me. Nothing is left to believe.
If you ain't gonna listen then, I guess it's better to leave
Then deal with the same disrespect every day.
being told that I can't say what I wanted to say,
Being ignored at every last person's front door.
I'm sick of it and this, I'll make sure you hear it.
And as this man ran on with his rant
Millions joined in, half staring, watching him pant.
It was hard at first, trying to fit in
but when he realized he didn't need the sin
corrupting him or his family of five,
He realized he could just move on with his life.
Why did he care what the men and women of Kell
thought of him and the advice he was never able to tell.
What was it to him if they beat him down,
Beat him up, for God sakes beat him dead?
His hungry voice was finally fed.
And when his screams and his shouts were finally done
The people stared, wide mouthed, stood completely stunned.
Their eyes were closed, now opened and reformed to glisten
And that's when they finally started to listen.
- Title: Discrimination
- Artist: huxlee
- Description: A poem about how people judge too quickly and don't keep an open mind to what others have to say. Remember... most people don't speak to hear their own voice. Listen and you might learn of something to better your life.

- I think its very good with minor mistakes that dont really matter because its about the content not the grammar. Lovely I love it and sadly i have to agree with it.

- Wait.. So.. You're ragging on her grammar and you can't even spell "the", use the right form of "to" (which would, in fact, be "too" wink , or take the time to move your lazy fingers to two more keys to spell out the entire word "you"? Take a sip of your own medicine and read a kindergarten grammar book.
