How many people can I be in one day?
How many faces can I assume?
How many colors can I change to match?
In the walls of a white tiled school
I do not hide, I frown on that
You just miss me as I walk by
Blending into the ever constant throng
Of people in the white tiled hall
Happiness is but a whisper of truth
Despair more a hulking shadow
Light and dark, two halves of a whole
The yin and the yang, complete opposites
The sharp thorns on the ever-beautiful rose
Like a chameleon disguising itself
I walk on unnoticed with pride in my step
I knew you wouldn’t see me as I walked by
You like us all, too busy to notice the little things
The things that matter and even the things that don’t
Happiness is but a whisper of truth
Despair more a hulking shadow
Light and dark, two halves of a whole
The yin and the yang, complete opposites
The sharp thorns on the ever-gentle rose
As I pass by the white tile wall
Whatever you see
I can guarantee
You certainly don’t see me
