I step forward, making sure not to get to close.
"Come, don't be afraid." He says in a velvet tone.
Like a fool, I listen and step forward again.
A smile plays across his lips.
Again in a velvet tone he speaks.
"Don't run, I will not harm you."
I only stare at him, not moving an inch.
His hair, silver like the moonlight.
The ends look like they are dipped in darkness.
"I promise, my dear, I will not bite,"
He says as he flashes a set of paper white fangs.
His eyes match his hair; just like the moon, shining.
"Will you run or will you stay?" He asks.
I take one step forward, careful not to get to close.
"I will stay." You can hear the fear in my voice.
He comes closer to me. His hand is on my cheek.
It's so icy and cold it almost burns my flesh.
I shiver at his lifeless touch.
He smiles, then speaks again.
"Never have I seen a human like you.
So willing to walk up to danger and call it by its name.
Walking into death, instead of it coming to you."
I want to run, but I'm frozen with fear and bliss.
In his eyes I see a burning fire, a strong willed passion.
"Be mine, and you will never want another."
His hand runs through my hair, then down my spine.
"You will be mine only, I'm not the type to share."
His breath is on the nape of my neck.
"You are a demon." My voice is shaking.
"An evil monster from the deepest parts of hell."
He smiles, then simply replies:
"A monster from hell I might be, but that means nothing.
Do I seem evil to you? Have I harmed a hair on your head?"
He kisses down my neck, then my cheek.
"Join me and be my queen, and you'll never be alone again."
I look into his silver moons and quickly get lost.
This cannot be, not him. This is not the demon.
The evil demon that has killed many women.
Murdered children one by one, making them suffer.
His lips brush against mine, but not in a kiss.
Could this be him? The demon? No. It cannot be.
"I will not remain here. I must go." I try to snatch away.
I am pulled back into his arms and filled with bliss again.
"Do not leave me." He begs. "I am alone and wish for love.
Even monsters like me deserve love, once in their lives.
Stay, my queen, and you will be forever in my heart."
He wraps his arms around me and holds me to his chest.
"My heart will beat for you; all you have to do is be my queen."
His body is cold, freezing; icy like his touch.
"You are a monster. A bloody killer. Let me be free!"
I attempt to run again, but it is in vain once more.
"I will not be your queen!" I shout as I try to pull away.
"I do not wish for you to leave me alone," he says in a sad tone.
"No one wants to be alone. I am no exception.
Do you think just because I'm a demon I don't want love?"
I look into his eyes and get lost in their sadness.
Could he be as gentle as he says?
Is he only looking for love like he says?
He hugs me close to him and speaks again.
"You are so very lovely to me." He says caressing my cheek
"You are the rose to my thorns. The woman to my man.
The heart to my soul. The angel to my demon."
He runs his hands down my back.
I shiver once again at his touch.
"My touch is cold because I have nothing to warm it,"
he continues in a deep velvet tone,
"but if you remain it will be warm and....passionate."
He smiles, flashing paper white fangs again.
"I will never hurt my queen. She will be my love forever."
I swallow hard and manage to take a step back.
"I will be your queen." My voice is still shaking with fear.
"I will remain here with you, as long you love me."
He smiles. "I love you, my queen and I will always love you."
He kisses my lips. A needle-like pain, courses through me.
Pull back from the kiss my lip is bleeding. I put a finger to my lip.
"Blood is so sweet when it comes from humans." He grins.
"But only from humans foolish enough to come to my lair."
My head is pulled back, neck baring. I'm at his mercy.
"My queen, my love. Give me crimson life once more,
So that I may live on, to claim many more like you."
The pain of two hundred knives is in my neck,
Cutting each and every vain slowly but surely.
I can feel my body breathing its last breath,
Giving into death's cold embrace.
I am laid on the rocky ground. With my all my breath I ask," why?"
The demon replies. "Does it matter why?
You walked into your own death, willingly, without regret.
So now you can die knowing you were loved.
Because that is all humans care about.
Having been loved before you death.
Knowing that someone loved you is all you craved.
Just as I craved your life and your blood to sustain my existence."
He kisses me on the lips, then I am pushed into water.
"To know that you were loved by someone is what every human craves."
I sink down into my grave beneath the earth,
What is now my watery prison. This is what a I deserve.
For my sins. For loving a demon.
My last breath is taken and my last words are said.
"Bon nuit, mon amour."
