• Your room lit by candle light and a foot step by the door
You run out to see who could it be
But you find an empty room, nothing more.

A night full of wonder as you try your best to sleep
You hear a gently laughter and a dancing of reindeer feet
As you try your best to silence it you just cannot ignore
That melody that awaits you, just outside your door.

Once more you try to catch him
    That Jolly ole Saint Nick
But once more that you open the door
To find an empty room, nothing more.

The night goes on and our hope dwindles to a frown
Until the light of the morning sun can be seen across the town
Rising from your bed you run to the door
Your eyes glance under the tree to see boxes and bows neatly arranged underneath.

These were the joys that christmas once held
Those are the memories that we now try to bring
Back to our families and young smiling faces
Tell them to leave cookies, you know I won't tell.
