• Into dismal splendor
Beneath a sky made of smoke
    This is the moribund city
    Where angels have no names
    And the stars hang themselves
    Coils of the virulent horizon
Wind around my rotten little finger
    I collect my epidemics
    I collect my filthy secrets
    Receding into the rabid twilight
    My shadow drenched in disease
    My pockets filled with rats
    Vermin among us
    Infect us, collect us
    Infectious
    Insects inside me
Feasting on all the illness within
    The hollow consumes me
Walking across waves of swarming rodents
    Into the city’s choking heart
The plague demands to be spread
    I regurgitate my fiendling brood
An egg sac full of crawling cancers
    Created only to hunger
    Unwavering and unleashed
    Cockroach seeds
Budding from my digested brain stem
    Bacterial intelligence
    A generational pathogen
    Viral apocalypse
    The antidote to evolution
Now the sickness knows your name
    And so do I

The raving preacher wanders between the ruins
In love with his ravenous leprosy
Hiding beneath a coat of leeches
    His ailing messiah
Is a boogeyman with a halo
In the presence of predator divinity
The holy man thirsts for his own saliva
    In the absence of humanity
He begs for a few drops of water
    To baptize a naked skeleton
Because the only ones who will ever be safe
    Are the dead

    Inoculations
For the children of the undead
    Initiation
To the congregation of the unborn
    Intoxication
Pestilence brings color to my still life
    Contamination
A septic world for the stillborn

    Horns and syringes
    Vomit and wine
    Corpses and medicine
    Scarabs and swine
    Deliverance and desperation
    Desolation and damnation
    There is no salvation
We’ve grown far beyond your Hell
    Open your mouth
    And swallow the maggots
I am here to cure this place
    Of you
