Waiting

• Description: I was bored one night and made a poem.
  It's suppose to be told in the point of the view from women whose husbands, fiancees or boyfriends went off to the war.
  It's the first poem I wrote and I wrote it a while ago...

Here I sit
On the hill
Waiting like I said
Without fail

I will always wait
can’t you see?
Or have you forgotten
The promise you made me

“I will come back
“I promise,” you say
But still I wait
Day by day

The tears the laughter
The cheers the cries
All in the past
As time flies by

I am still waiting
for you to come back
To restore the happiness
that I lack

But beware
I will not wait long
Because sometimes
A girl jus got to move on

So until then
I sit on this hill
Waiting for you
Without fail
