• The Storm
Cascading teardrops of the clouds fall,
Wails of sorrow ringing as thunder in the night.
I listen to the pleas for comfort, the cries for compassion,
Answered by no one in the dark night.

The anger of being alone, expressed in lightning and wind
    Ravages the land, destroying everything.
The anger, the pain, the tears of the storm.
It weighs heavily on my heart.

I listen to the storm, listen to it’s cries
As it seeks solace this cold, dismal night.
I wish to comfort this nameless entity,
Sooth it’s pains that I have felt myself.

The storm continues it’s weeping and wailing,
Like a child without a mother.
    It’s lonely tears cascading still
    As I watch and wait.

It is a while before the clouds depart,
The moon shines, the stars dance happily.
    But that weeping entity departs
On it’s never-ending quest to find comfort.
