The sounds of winter will lay to no rest
Lakes frozen solid with slick black frost ice
Showing beauty in its absolute best
Dazzling and amazing, all enticed
Beauty captured, shining ever so bright
The storms are blazing and show no remorse
Inside the homes, warm and heat, huddled tight
Outside is cold, winter’s last brutal force
Warmth and heat of other’s kind deeds reside
Gifts of thoughts are where winter’s true heart lies
Snow starts to melt, spring and winter collide
Beauty stays intact to winter's disguise
Though winter’s waltz is almost at an end
The ballad of spring is near, winter’s friend
