Going somewhere with you now
An old glimmer shines through
And I may let go for now
But I’ll be back for you
Let you go your own way
To find a way back home
Whatever home you have for now
I’ll make it here somehow
Feels like it’s time to start my plan
But I’m unsure of some complications
So I’ll wait longer if I can
But I’m battling strong temptations
It seems the glimmer has ended
Perhaps I should jump in now
Or wait for your heart to be mended
So I’m not just a rebound
It’s such a strong attraction
Thought I was over you
But I guess it’s a coping reaction
For a love that is removed
Tell me which way your heart is
I’ve got to get back through
The real ironic part is
I never stopped loving you

- This was an awesome poem. Something, I'm sure, that most of us can relate to. I love the first stanza and the last line of the third. And of course, that was a killer ending. It also flowed quite nicely. Good job. : )
