• I’m at the edge of the cliff just hanging there,
Holding onto that one guys hand.
I’m just hanging there with my despair,
Desperately hoping that he doesn’t let go.

I realize now I should have savored every day,
But all I did was take it for granted.
I managed to do wrong in every way,
I had no idea how much it would hurt.

Now, because of this, this little girl is broken,
Waiting for all her deep cuts to heal.
Maybe it would have helped if she had spoken,
    And then again, maybe not.

My glass heart is no longer cracked.
It’s smashed into a million little pieces.
It could never have survived the huge impact,
And now my wound can never heal.

I was at the edge of the cliff just hanging there,
Holding onto that one guys hand.
I was just hanging there with my despair,
Desperately hoping that he wouldn’t let go.

Now on the edge of that cliff I’m slipping away,
Slipping out of his hands forever.
Now, of course, I must pay,
For all the hurt I have caused him…
