It was black as night
It was bright as day
It was sleeping alive
But it was wide awake

It was a nice little nap
To a world of Glee
It was a place where I
Was consumed by thee

My love for you
Was eating me up
I tried to sleep
But you kept me up

You kept me awake
In my world of glee
You kept me awake
And I thought only of thee

While all was at rest
I came to believe
You and only you
Could ever set me free
