• One Wish

    I can’t believe what’s happening
Things that no eyes can bare
    The World is falling apart
    It’s calling for help
To make the sky blue again
To make the ocean blue again
To make the trees green again
    To help me smile again
Helpless I watch it fill up
    With sorrow, with no peace
    With hunger, with death
With everything that can rip it apart
If I had one wish it would be this
To stop the world from crying
    To make people smile again
    I can’t do this alone
    And I need someone’s help
Cause I myself feel like the earth
If I had one wish it would be this
To make the world work again
    Don’t let the sorrow in
    Let the peace roam free
    Don’t let the hunger in
    Let the food roam free
Don’t let the world be ripped apart
    Let me have this wish
Let me wake up to a new day
Were the sky is blue again
Were the ocean is blue again
Were the trees are green again
Let me see the things the eyes can bare
Let me see the streets safe again
    Let crime do its time
    Let peace be released
    Let sorrow be no worry
    Let the smiles come in
If I had one wish it would be this
Let the world have peace again.

When Mother Earth sends a message: I am not Mother Earth or anyone close to her to speak for her, but she has ways to get people thinking. She got me, in this poem I speak for her because the only way she can talk is through natural disasters or phenomenon. This is a poem that is true and will be true until we do something, we can’t stay waiting until the next bad thing happens; we need to act now. Not just being environmentally friendly but being friendly to each other; if we want world peace we will have to put ourselves together to work for it. And let’s not forget to put God on our side.
