Took my hand gently in hers.
She pulled me close and whispered,

How could I forget you?
The sound of my name on your lips,
The way you held me close,
And the love in your eyes.
Then she said to me
When I am Dead and Gone
You hold your Head up Strong,
I want you to move on.
With tears in my voice I told her,
I will never leave you.
With her hand on my cheek,
And as the tears ran down my face
She said to me,
But Darling, I am leaving you.
How could I ever forget you?
The sound of my name on your lips,
The way you held me close,

When you left me

But I never moved on
