• Staring at a flickering flame
    as it climbs the wall I see my face
    inside the burning fire
    then the flame goes higher and higher.
    Soon the roof caves in crushing all within
    I fall to the floor
    and cry for the Lord.
    Then a sudden burst from the door
    a man in yellow pulls me out
    but i resisted as I screamed and shout
    I got away and down stairs
    screaming for my mom and sister.
    I found them
    and held them in my arm
    then we prayed as I sobbed.
    Im staring at a flickering flame
    I took a breath
    and blew it away.
