-Remnants and Memories-
Remnants are what used to be-
the peices you can hardly see-
the distant past that eludes us so-
those times that come and go.
Memories are moments that we have shared-
a little tattered but never teared-
and those broken wings that still can fly-
stretch out from trees and touch the sky.
Remnants are those crooked lines-
that almost seem to fade in time-
forgetting eases all the pain-
so why not bleach the stain?
Memories linger and never die-
you cant escape yet allways try-
yet those chains that bind us tightest-
are the stars that shine the brightest.
So hold fast to memories-
and never forget -
that if they are gone-
your left with regret.
There wont be a remnant-
no peice left behind-
you'll fade into grey-
and run out of time.

Description:
ok, so I bet your thinking "dude wtf? aren't remnants and memories basicly the same thing???"
Well yes, yes they are. That is the point. This poem symbolizes "memories" as being the past we WANT to remember. and "remnants" being the memories we try to FORGET.
It is a little confusing if you don't understand what a remnant trully is.
