My life feels blank
An empty void
Life is harsh
It's not enjoyed
Meet my friend Misery.
You say I can fight against the pain
But it only brings a solemn rain
My heart's desire is to be with you
My emotions have begun anew
Meet my friend Frustration.
Another day has come and pass,
I already knew it wouldn't last
Your calming love has drifted away
I feel the pain even today
Meet my friend Sadness.
The finish line is coming near
The last day I have is the one I fear
My eyes close and fade into the night
I float above in my sacred flight
Meet my friend Death.
