    tears fell from my eyes

    especially to my face
    with me sitting right next to them

    "look at ol' mr. newman" it read
    "he looks like he just got home from the zoo"
    "yea," i replied, already starting to giggle and even harder i laughed when you sent back the reply
    "maybe he was just visiting his wife, u know, the orangutan"
    the teacher looked at me and glared
    so i hid the note in my clenched hand
    he asked me a quick question, one i wish i replied differently.
    "do i need to separate the two of you"

    it would've happened anyway, why not spare me some heartache
    you took the letter from my hand and wrote one last note
    "i love you forever"
    since when does forever mean never,
    in that crazy little world of your's?
    i'm still gonna keep that note tho,
    my heart is broken beyond repair but i still got a half left to share
    with my new friends that hug me close and say "love ya'" but they really mean it

    you should cry over the loss
