Legs on fire,
Your hearts' desire,
Walking on a sunshine wire.
Burning sands,
Hot coals on my naked feet,
I turn whiter still in the name of protection.
Still the whip cracks upon my back,
Red raw flesh underneath the straps,
No cream could soothe it better.
A kiss to the damage,
Doesn't help it heal,
Yet it's nothing to how it makes me feel.
No tears do fall,
Yet underneath it all;
I shouldn't have stayed out in the sun for so long.

Description:
"Red Summer Sun" is the name of a song by 'Third Eye Blind' but I decided to write my own poem, under the same title.
Figure out what it's about.
